Also known as Sanity Gem, Magitite is used against mind-altering magics, especially such magics administered ocularly. The most common administration of this ore is by using it in the manufacture of jewelry, such as necklaces and bracelets, though things such as glasses frames are also not unheard of. Due to the fragility of magitite, items made with this ore need to be replaced or repaired fairly often. The stronger forms of magitite are shiny and black when worked with, but sparkly and black in its natural form. The weaker forms of magitite are rough and red, and are difficult to work with due to its nature. Weaker forms of magitite are usually merely kept in bottles or some such mode of containment. Once magitite is used to its fullest extent, usually 10 years in its purest form, it becomes mundane hematite, looking the same as it did in its magic form.
