External Physiology: In outward appearance, Nokklugs conform to typical humanoid characteristics, possesing a single head, two arms (Each ending in four fingered hands) and two legs (Terminating in three toed feet), all branching from a central torso. They tend towards what most humans would consider "scrawny", averaging between 5'3" and 5'9", and hovering in the region of 150 lbs.
The major differences are cosmetic, prime example; the skin. Nokklug skin is a deep purple normally found only in really nasty bruises on humans. The skin is also possesing of a rough, rubbery texture, reminicent of running your hand over a tire. The head is also notably different, the brain area, largely round in most humanoinds, is conical here, and occasionally appearing to tremor slightly, as though it has a heartbeat (See Internal Physiology) The rest of the head is largely featurless, as far as most standards go, posessing neither nose nor ears, event the eyes, set into deep sockets, are little more than faintly glowing orange orbs. The mouth is broad and wide, and posesses a set of blunt, herbivore like teeth, and a broad, pale blue tounge.

Internal Physiology: This is where the Nokklugs make up for their outward normalicy. The first thing an autopsy would reveal about the Nokklugs, is that they have no skeletal structure. There are regions of cartlige in the joints, which help the Nokklugs to keep themselves bound to the human norm of flexibility, but other than that, their form is largely made of mucle and fatty tissue, lending them a rather impressive level of strength (Especially where gripping is concerned) not shown in their outward forms. The chest area reveals a number of analogs with human organs (Stomach, Lungs, Heart, etc) though with subtle differences. Firstly, the stomach dosent extend into a set intestines analog, rather, a number of "psudeo intestines" that resemble veins attach to the circulatory system, causing any waste left from the digestive process to be carried to the "heart" analog to be converted into a form able to carry oxygen, thus replacing the marrow needed by most endo skeletal creatures. The "heart" itself is a ovoid lump of meat, that also serves as the hub for the Nokklug nervous system. Rather than pumping, as most hearts do, the bio electrical impulses of the nervous system provide a charge to the heart, causing it to send blood carrying oxygen out, and draw blood that has deposited its oxigen in the needed areas to itself, in a fasion resembling the separate poles of a magnet. The "lungs", or in this case "lung" is a large air bladder surrounding the heart itself, feeding the now twice filtered air to the heart directly.
The inside of the head is a bit more complicated. The Nokklug "brain" analog isnt located in the skull, its decentralized and coveres the entirety of the Nokklug nervous system, in effect, making the entirety of the Nokklugs body its "brain". Whats inside the Nokklugs skull, is the equivilent of a speaker system and alchemy lab. Nokklugs home island has a somewhat toxic quality to the air, any human getting too close would find themselves having a similar reaction to this air as they would to a rather nasty batch of tear gas. To adapt for this, the Nokklugs evolved the second lung, to filter out as many contaminents as they could, before sending the air to their other lung for final purification and insertion to the circulatory system. In addition, this second lung, along with the vibration sensitive skin of the head, acts as an oversized ear for the Nokklugs, allowing them to hear fine in their own, denser air, but making them a touch sensitive to sound in most human atmospheres. Worth mentioning, the Nokklugs also exhale any forign contaminents and used air from their heads, making standing too close to ones head the equivelant of placing yourself directly under a humans nostril.

Life Cycle: Nokklug life cycles are virtually unique, each Nokklug is able to live for around a hundred years, before dropping dead and reforming with all of their prior memories, similar to a pheonix out of the ashes. They are able to reform sooner, in the case of a violent death, but by whichever method the Nokklug dies, he cant do a repeat of the regeneration process for another five years, a period during wich many Nokklugs take to a form of isolation, to better defend against a final death.
Nokklugs are able to go through six of these cycles before finally dieing for good, but its at that point the reproductive cycle kicks in. When the Nokklug senses that they are nearing their final end, they go do a dark, dank area, and produce six buds that begin growing out of their backs. During a six month long process, the Nokklug synchronizes its nervous system with its forming offsprings, passing on all of its prior knowledge and experiences, so that when the spawn are finally born, they can get right into the thick of things. At the end of this process, six new Nokklugs, fully grown and formed, erupt out of the parents body, killing it for good. These Nokklugs are in a state of sensory overload though, as between the birthing trauma and the multiple lifetimes of knowledge try and organize themselves within the fledgling mind. This causes a frenzied state in the infants, which usually lasts until they perform their first feeding, usually apon one of their murderd siblings. The survivors, usually no more that two, then select separate directions to go, and never lay eyes on each other again. Thus starting the cycle anew.
