Caelin is a calm, reletively peaceful relm. Filled with rolling plaines and gentle vallies, most visitors would consider the place a paradice, the only issue, of course, is the inhabitants. The natives of Caelin are loud, boisterous humans, quick to laugh and quick to fight, but always loving life. Almost to a man, they are large and strong, with the norm bieng red hair and green eyes.
Of specific interest is the Cupper clan of the Caelin. The clan has been cursed by the wereboar brand of lycanthropy for as long as the clan has recorded its history, with each child of the clan infected by his or her elders on thier fifteenth birthday. This, of course, is the biggest danger to any travelers, especially on nights of the full moon, when the countryside is wandered by packs of wereboars looking for food. The locals grow wolvesbane around their homes and truffles in certian areas to try and keep the Boars away from the towns, but provide no warning to any travelers foolish enough to wander out on the nights of the full moon, when the Boars sing to the stars. None are sure if the curse was brought by the Lords, or if the curs is what drew the Lords to the island in the first place.
The Lords are the other great threat to foolish travelers who dont know enough to get indoors with the Caelic after the sun goes down. The Lords are a clan of vampires who came to Caelin many, many generations ago, and dominated the Cupper clan into their survice. Since then the Thirteen Elders, who have never been seen to leave the secret chamber under the fortress that once was the Cupper family manor, but they are guarded, and often brought sustenance in the form of convicts and trespassers by the Cuppers themselves. Outside of the Thirteen, there are roughly fourty spawn, known as the Wanderers, who are sent out into the wider world, to learn and grow, and perhaps one day, to return and challenge one of the Thirteen for his or her seat. These Wanderers often have a handful of Cuppers tagging along as bodyguards and manservants.
