Appearance:
Despite every attempt to make himself look older, Garrett has difficulty getting himself to look older than 20. It could be his round face or those small ears or his in ability to grow a beard that doesn't resemble some form of fungus. It might be his 5'6" height and svelte body. Whatever the case, he tends to over dress to account for this sense of miss communication about his appearance. He wears his chestnut brown hair in a sort, swept back fashion. His pine green eyes tend to be sharp, but not particularly piercing.

He usually wears a neutral morning coat with the coat unbuttoned to show off his extensive collection of colorful waistcoats, generally with some sort of print on them. More often than not he adds on a black or red bowtie, though can sometimes go for an ascot tie or even a full cravat.

Personality
Garrett is quite an arrogant young man. He holds strong to his belief that the world is mostly made of idiots and that he isn't one of them. And idiots deserve whatever happens to them. While he doesn't condone outright murder or any other activities on the same level, he does almost take a joy in theft and lying as a sign of his intelligence. Despite his arrogance, he is quite open to learning from his mistakes and working on new ways to improve.

He tends to strongly dislike red tape and any sort of hoops to jump through. While he can go through such processes, be prefers to go the route of least resistance. His other pet peeves would be people who are smart but restrict themselves due to that morality business and people who lack the social/academic intelligence he so values.

He tends to be a pacifist not out of concern for the welfare of others, but out of necessity. He's never learned how to fight or break up a fight.

History
Garrett was the middle child in a well-to-do family. His father was a pawn broker in a small community, a community Garrett tended to see as extremely stupid. A community where people would spend more money on appearances than on their actual well being. He constantly longed to get into the upper crust, a class he always thought would be smarter than his current lot in life.

His assumptions were proven wrong when he went to college. Sure, people knew the facts, but they never applied them. This and an incident he prefers not to talk about got him expelled.

After returning to work at his father's pawn shop with some resentment, he began to learn ways to skim more money off the people who came into the shop. People who didn't check their facts or stop to think before they acted.

When he was caught in the act by his younger brother, he was kicked out of his shop. He moved on to getting money however he could, not all of his ways legal. His current gambit is a miracle cure guaranteed to cure any ailment in two months.

Abilities
Garrett is very well versed in a general education and furthers it through his books. He also has a fairly good grasp on reading people's reactions, though only an average grasp on telling things about people on first glance. He knows a few notes on several popular instruments such as the guitar, violin flute and piano, though saying he could actually play them would be a stretch. Despite his appearances, he is a relatively good artist in acrylics, charcoal and other dry medium.
